Are you what you wear?
I say that in jest. Today I’m wearing one of my favorite sweatshirts by Lazy Oaf.
Despite the comfortable attire, I have been productive from the moment I woke up.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a sensitivity to uncomfortable clothes – itchy wool, inseam doesn’t leave room for comfort, etc.. Wearing the wrong texture or fit could noticeably impede my focus throughout the work day.
Simultaneously, I’m a strong believer in starting the morning on the right feet: Bring your best to the breakfast table! When you start the day feeling prepared, put-together, and organized you’re giving your confidence a balanced breakfast. Even if nobody at the office cares how you look; even if you work from home and see no one at all, good morning habits (personal grooming, self care) that make you feel good about yourself are important because they shift your body into full gear. Readiness in your appearance translates to confidence in self-efficacy.
Now, to reconcile the comfort factor with the readiness factor, outfits like these can’t be beat!
This reconciliation is a major motivator behind Streetcharm – to deliver a casual-athleticwear line that still touches a business aesthetic; it is comfort characterized by hustle and success.
